The Lyme Regis Town Band is always anxious to recruit new members in order to sustain the strength of the band. Both beginners and more experienced players will be warmly welcomed and strongly supported.

Beginners:

Lessons are held every Thursday from 7.30 to 8.30 p.m. at St Michael's School, Lyme Regis.

We provide:
- FREE tuition
- FREE instrument loan
- FREE uniform loan

A charge may be made towards the cost of tutor books.

All we ask in return is that you are:
- Regular in attendance
- Dedicated
- Willing and eager to improve

To protect young people, our teachers are enhanced CRB checked and we operate our own Child Protection Policy, a summary of which can be found by clicking here (opens in a new window).

To support their practical work, learners are encouraged to take the theory exams of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. There will be a charge for entry.

Beginners progress through to the main band at the discretion of the Musical Director.

At the end of each tuition session, all learners are encouraged to sit with the main band in rehearsal.
