Uplyme Show

Uplyme’s annual Horticultural Show proved a magnificent venue for our recent performance just across the border. The bowl of the valley formed by fields and woods, cottages and hillsides, a babbling stream nearby and bluest sky you could wish for was enhanced by all the fun of the fair – including cream teas all round! These photos come courtesy of Chris, one of our trainee players.

We’ve just had a lovely letter of thanks from the show chairman Robin Britton which concluded with the remark: “We were very impressed by the quality and range of music you played – certainly helped to keep the Show spirit going all afternoon.”

The final picture presented below here shows young trombonist Santi from Spain. Santi was staying a few weeks with another of our younger players and came along to play at every opportunity. We were delighted to welcome him – as we do any visiting player who asks to come along as a guest.
